Prevention
Jeffrey Carl, DMD has provided dental care for thousands in the surrounding community. With our focus on high quality care using the latest in proven dental technologies we are able to provide high quality dental care in a warm and caring environment.

Dental Cleaning:
Dental cleanings are performed by one of our hygienists and usually last around one hour. Dental cleanings include the removal of plaque and tartar from the tooth surface. Dental cleanings may occur every three to six months depending on your personal needs to ensure plaque build-up is kept in check.

Periodontal Disease (Gingivitis)
Periodontal disease is an infection that affects the tissues and bone that support the teeth. Treatment may include a deep cleaning with local anesthetic. Untreated gum disease may lead to more extensive bone loss or tooth extraction.

Sealants
Many people have narrow grooves in their teeth that are very hard to clean even with a toothbrush. In these cases the dentist will clean the tooth surface and use a sealant to seal and smooth the tooth surface so it can be cleaned by brushing. If not treated the grooves could develop tooth decay eventually leading the need for a filling or more serious corrective procedures.
